Back in August 2022 I was due to play another show over on The Thursday Night Show. I planned to do another “covers” show filled with songs that I didn’t realise were cover versions BUT I misread the schedule and was actually away on holiday when I was due to be online so I couldn’t do it 😦
My next TTNS slot was scheduled for just before Christmas and this time I didn’t get the date wrong! I dug out the tracks I had planned for summer dusted them off and geve them a (metaphorical) spin. I’d also been asked if I could cover for a fellow DJ who couldn’t make their slot which followed mine and turned my slot into a two hour show! To fill the extra time available to me I decided to play a selection of track by artists who had dies during 2022. The devastating news that Terry Hall had died hit shortly after I had broadcast my “deadlist”. What a fantastic man he was.
