No, we’re not!
The spectre of Valentine’s Day always brings to mind angels and roses, and heart shapes but as we decided to our theme this time was alternative love songs we turned out heart upside down. I’m undecided if this way round it most resembles a pair of breasts, buttocks or testicles but I don’t care… I kind of like that ambiguity!
So, we were NOT in love. No, we were not! Maybe we’re cynical or at times just in denial. We were definitely at points lovelorn, bereft, estranged, frustrated, angry, saucy, obsessed, bewhildered, turned on, dismissive, hurt, used, belligerent, flummoxed, horny and argumentative, but most definitely, NOT in love!
The evening proved popular as did the theme. We had so much suggested music left over that we had enough to fill another night! So, as suggested by my mate Dave, we’re running the same theme onto the next event on February 26th too!
