The time immediately post Christmas is always a dreary time. The lights have been turned off, the decorations stowed, resolutions have started to fall by the wayside and of course, it seems like an absolute age until payday!
The third Monday in January is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year and has even earned the unfortunate moniker of Blue Monday. This year, Blue Monday falls tomorrow, on the 17 January!
We at Club 30-80 have been determined (unusually for me) to try to keep an eye on the positive this year and as such, we decided to try to beat the blues with a multicoloured attack on our earholes on the yesterday. I think it worked!
A tally of the songs showed that the blues were defeated by the whites by 5 songs!
