Last Thursday was Remembrance Day and coincidentally I had an hour slot over at ttns.uk. This time I played an hour of songs about memory and remembering stuff. You can listen to DJ 30 80 remembers everything! via Rewind over on the Thursday Night Show website.
Remembrance Day was particularly poignant this year as a very dear friend died suddenly and unexpectedly in the summer. This hour of songs was dedicated to him. The songs weren’t about him but as a person whose musical tastes were diverse to say the least, I think he would have appreciated the eclectic nature of my choices.
This is for you Alan, I love you and miss you every day!
If you would like to listen to the music without my blather, check oup the Spotify Playlist below.
P.S. I’ve decided to add extra tracks to the Spotify playlist as appropriate ones spring to mind, mainly because I completely forgot about Blancmange’s version of The Day Before You Came, which I think is probably the most profound pop song EVER and the Blancmange version is better than the original (in my humble opinion, obv).
