I think this might have been my favourite Stay Home Special so far! I really didn’t get my act together to thinking about this one until a couple of days before the event. As a result I called it my Last Minute Stay Home Special and the “time” theme sort of fell out of the name! My longlist was hours long but came together really well in the end. A friend said, “it’s not often you get a segue between Deep Purple and The Time Warp” and that may be true but I think that’s a sign that things have gone according to (my) plan.
It was amateur hour late in the evening on the 3rd of June. Time kept slipping into the future and it is only a question of time before rush hour and happy hour goes shang a lang into last nights chairmen of the board on a lost weekend. Somewhere, sometime between living in the past and the eighth day it will be 10:15 in the dead of night, maybe midnight (blue) in Moscow or 3 A.M. at the oasis and we’ll have the time of our lives. I don’t think it’s the last time we’ll rock around the clock and feel good times but what you wating for? You now the times they are a changin’!
