And so Lockdown rolls on. The Stay Home Specials have been running every fortnight for over a year now (with the exception of a few weeks in the summer of 2020 when things were eased and everything went tits up again!). They seem to have become a bit of a focal point for some attendees who meet up on the virtual dancefloor with friends and relatives they can’t meet in person, from the other side of the country to the other side of the world in the comfort of their living rooms.
Themes are sometimes easy to come by, other times, not quite so. This one was obvious the first time I clocked that Thursday 22 April (two days before the scheduled event) was Earth Day. I decided to add the + (positivity) aspect on a whim after receiving some really davastating news and figured I needed the power of music to get me out of the doldrums, at least for a short while.
Positivity for Earth Day Stay Home Special was unbelievable but still we believe in miracles on Earth as we do in Heaven. Spin me right round planet Earth. The ray of light was blinding all around the world but I can still feel love you beautiful people and offer you sanctuary.
