On Thursday night, over at ttns.uk I played an hour of Fauxtown. Fauxtown (in my head anyway) is music that sounds like Motown but obviously isn’t. So, Fauxtown = Not Motown.
It went down really well and I was delighted it did. I even remembered to press the record button in my DJ software (MIXXX) and have uploaded the session to Mixcloud. You can also listen to Fauxtown Chartbusters Vol 1 via Rewind on the Thursday Night Club website.
One of the highlights of the session was TTNS regular Hardy Milts saying that he “feel[s] another CD for the car demanding my attention…..“. This is apparently a great honour. Hardy has apparently listened to EVERY show that has been hosted by The Thursday Night Show and only rarely burned one to a CD. I’m thinking this is the equivalent of a “Hollywood Handshake” on The Great British Bake Off! Whatever, I’m delighted 🙂
