Wise advice indeed, but where did it come from and who said it?
Since the start of the lockdown I’ve had this lyric from a song whizzing through my head that I wanted to find and add to a little video ad for our Club30-80 #StayHome Specials. I couldn’t, for the life of me remember what it was or who it was by; until that is, I was collating a playlist for a virtual birthday party for my friend Naomi.
When I played “There’s a Ghost in my House” by the Fall; (a cover of the classic Motown/Northern Soul track by R Dean Taylor), I realised the voice in my head was Mark E Smith’s with his gritty/shouty vocals. “It’s something by The Fall”.
After much trawling through my Fall tracks I heard the siren like guitar intro of Sparta F.C. and I knew I had found what I was looking for…
