He’s the Greatest Dancer, in a collective jam…

So today, Tim and I went for our usual walk down to the Quayside, along the river and up into Tynemouth to have a look at the weekly weekend market in the station. This week, the market included a Book Fair (which happens every two months).

At one of the stalls was one of Club 30-80’s regulars, Alex. He is an amazing dancer and often cuts up the floor with his smooth moves. If we were handing out prizes for greatest dancer, he would win (almost) all of the time!

I went over for a chat. I thought he was browsing the goods but actually it turned out he was the stallholder himself. The wares he was touting was a range of comics. These comics were all drawn by members of a collective called Paper Jam which Alex is involved with. The collective has been meeting regularly since 2007 (second Thursday of every month at Bar Loco). It is made up of comic fans, writers and artists: . It’s free to all, not for profit and really good.
