I bought the Polyphonic Spree’s debut album when it came out in about 2003. I liked it but with the exception of Hangin’ Around the Day, I didn’t really “get it” and so I gave it to a friend who did.
Last week I happened upon it as a “Replay” CD in Poundland (for, guess what? A pound!) near my home in North Shields and thought I’d give it a spin. Since then Solider Girl has been bouncing about in my head. I think it was a pound well spent. Unlike the one I spent on the Wet Wet Wet Greatest Hits CD!
