So last night I DJed at my first private party! It was a 70th birthday party for a friend of a friend held in St Dominics Catholic Club in Byker.
It was a bit different from the normal Club 30-80 format as the host had suggested musical genres to base the skeleton tracklist on rather than it just being a general mixed bag to get people up and dancing. There was some fantastic and delicious food povided by the Beirut Lounge in Heaton after which there was some VERY enthusiastic dancing.
I woke up this morning with several tunes whizzing round my head vying for attention so in the spirit of earworm exorcism I am laying them out here for your delectation:
